Biography:
Dr. Linda A. Fickes received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors from New York Chiropractic College in 1984. She has a bachelors degree, also magna cum laude, from Michigan State University. She has professional memberships in the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Price-Pottinger Nutrition Association, the Health Freedom Association, the Hawaii State Chiropractic Association and the American Academy of Thermology and the American Medical Infrared Association.
Dr. Fickes has advanced certification in Applied Kinesiology, Total Body Modification, Sacral Occipital Technique, Directional Non-force Technique, Neuro Emotional Technique, Jaffee Mellor Technique and myofascial therapies. Dr. Fickes is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist as certified by the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board.
Dr. Fickes is one of less than a dozen in the country certified in Body, Mind, Consciousness technique. She also has had training in and uses Holographic Repatterning, Holodynamics, Thought Field Therapy and New Decisions Therapy. Her most recent certification is in Inner Human Design and uses the Wavemaker Pro.
In 1995, Dr Fickes was named "Best Chiropractor in Honolulu" by the Honolulu Weekly. She has been listed in Who's Who in Executives and Businesses, and in Foremost Women of the Twentieth Century. In 2004, Dr. Fickes was selected by the consumer's Research Council of America as one of "America's Top Chiropractors."
Previously, Dr. Fickes practiced in New York City but since 1989 practices in Honolulu. She is licensed in New York, California, and Hawaii. Dr. Fickes uses a holistic approach to children's health, allergies, and women's health and hormonal issues. She has a general wellness practice.
Dr. Fickes has practiced meditation and spiritual studies over 30 years. She emphasizes the balance between mind, body, and spirit in her work. She has taught and written articles that have been published in the U.S., U.K., and New Zealand on this topic. Dr. Fickes has also taught courses on using intuition in the healing process at the University of Hawaii and other locations and adds her intuitive skills to her technical capacities.
